		<description>i really enjoyed reading this, and thought you did a great job writing it. i agree that mastery of a subject (in this case art or architecture) is not an elitist activity, but requires elite knowledge and skill at applying that knowledge.

after all, just because we all have the same set of starting data does not make us all sherlock holmes. it takes a learned eye to separate detail from accident, and the critically important from the trivial.</description>

		<description>i&#039;m so happy to read this critique, dariel, struck as i was by both the moments in the two movies you highlight.  for me, the wolf moment felt particularly poignant against the present political backdrop, with wolves being slaughtered in derbies and contests now that they&#039;ve been removed from the endangered species list.  the wolf sighting in the movie felt like kind of reminder amongst the fun clustercuss of a romp that there are in fact real animals, too, worthy of admiration and respect even if they don&#039;t wear bow ties and meditate!  i feel mr. fox&#039;s &quot;power on&quot; solidarity with the wolf, too, but--infuriatingly--there&#039;s a free-for-all wolf-killing spree going on out west...
